Getting the right hat size is essential for comfort and style. Follow these steps to ensure accurate measurements:
1. Prepare the Measuring Tape
Use a flexible, non-stretchable measuring tape for the most accurate result.
2. Position the Tape Correctly
- Place the tape in the middle of your forehead, just above the eyebrows.
- Wrap it around your head, keeping it above the ears and around the largest part of the back of your head.
- Make sure the tape is level all the way around.
3. Keep It Snug, Not Tight
The tape should sit firmly against your head but without squeezing. Think of how you’d like your hat to feel.
4. Take the Measurement
Look in a mirror (or ask someone to help) to ensure the tape stays straight. Record the number where the tape meets its starting point.
5. Double-Check for Accuracy
Measure twice. If the results differ, take a third measurement and use the average.
6. Record in Inches or Centimeters
Write down your size in the unit preferred by your hat maker.
